The lighting is excellent. I don't like the toning, but I think I have a prejudice against anything sepia-ish. I really think this could be awesome with cool tones, a steely gray-blue...
Chas, I agree this is a bit heavy conceptually. I actually shot this for the weekly assignment here on FM. I don't mind competing when I have a chance. The theme was "Response" and I title this "They are all in here!".
Todd, I can very much appreciate your input on this. I struggled a little with the processing because I much rather go for something similar to what you mention. Not a big fan of sepia myself, but I thought the dictionary shows best with this processing. If I give it another try I'll post it here to compare with this one.
i think its a really cool shot. ill admit i couldnt figure out what it meant but its interesting. im thinking the toning works even though i also dont generally like sepia very much
Love the lighting and all, but have to agree with Todd on the steely grey-blue toning thing. I even tried it myself in PS just to see. I liked it much better than the sepia and I have nothing against sepia in general.
Still, personal preference on toning aside, nice shot.
