This historic farm building was actually a covered walkway between two very large gable-roofed barns. It was originally open-sided but was enclosed by a film shooting company. Everything else, including windows, is from the original elaborate construction during the 1930's.

I like the house and the b/w conversion but feel that a bit more "breathing space" at left and top would be beneficial.

I wonder if it wouldn't have been better to stand right in front of the house and shoot only the upper part of the roof with some trees on the sides and more sky up.

The bottom looks freshly painted and is less attracting than the nice textures on the roof. (or maybe I would have tried some kind of "vignetting" or darkening of the white part of the house to add to the mood.)
