Which costs more nowadays?... Summicron 90/2 or Zuiko OM 100/2? ...is the Zuiko impossible to find? The Crom 90/2 seems hard to find as it is. Wondering if these are hard to come by. What are the going prices for these?

If you are looking at the Cron 90 or the OM 100mm f2.0, might as well throw in the OM 90mm f2.0 Macro which is superb and cost as much as the other two high end options. For a little bit more, you can go all the way to the ZF 100mm f2.0 which is superb.

Which are easiest to get? I read somewhere that the Zuiko 100/2 is almost impossible to find, so I might just skip that... I'll look into the ZF

From what I am seeing on ebay..it is much easier and cheaper to get a Crom 90/2 than the equivalent Zuiko's

hmmm... I am reading & research a little, and all these Leica's discussed here, are they really 55mm front filter thread? ..or is it a Series 7?

Pretty important to me, as I have stated before that filter thread size is important, because I will stepping up (need step up rings) so I can mount various anamorphic lenses in front (particularly, an Isco 54 which has 77mm rear threads.

..and so far, I am finding (or not finding, lol) ..that there is absolutely no Series-7 to 77mm step-up rings I can find.

If I cannot find a Series7 to 77mm ring or a way to attach a 77mm in front, then I will have to discount all leica's from my decision and have to go for nikon/zuiko/other.

Yes. They are all 55mm if you get the later versions. The series VII are the much earlier versions.

Ah, IC.... But, does it HAVE to say E55 on the front of the lens?? I notice some do, and some don't..

..I am now looking into just getting a Crom 50/2 and a 135/2.8 since I spent alot of nuggets on the anamorphic lens adapter.

I am just worried on getting a Leica with a Series7 front thread

The 55mm filter threads can be added later, so some of the older lenses have been updated with 55m threads. I have a somewhat older 90 cron that has 55mm threads that were added later. Just make sure you enquire about what filter threads the lens has before you buy it. I hope this helps.

CZJ Flektogon 35mm f2.4 - 49mm thread ~$175-$225
super-multi-coated Takumar 50mm f1.4 - 49mm thread ~$85-$135
Helios 44-2 58mm f2 (pre-set version) - 49mm thread - absolute bokeh king as far as I'm concerned ~$25-$45
super-multi-coated Takumar 85mm f1.8 - 58mm thread ~$325-$425
Nikkor-PG 105mm f2.5 - 52mm thread ~$85-$115
CZJ MC S 135mm f3.5 - 49mm thread ~$95-$150

All except Nikkor of course in M42 mount.

Get a lens with serial # starting from 3xxxxxxx. Should be quite safe.
