Yakim,
The pair of Aces is a great image but I must say that I really like the one above much more. It is a very strong image that really the story of games today.

I agree with Scott. This one is a very unique take on the theme. Perhaps you could crop just a hair more so that the reflection is a little more prominent. Either way, I like both of your photos. In regard the to first -- ALL IN!

I wonder if you took this photo in a slightly darker room if the reflection would be larger. It seems to be contained to his pupils....

1. It's her pupil, not his. I had the same problem with this pic.

2. I thought about that but light levels were already very low as they were. ISO 3200 is the most I feel comfortable with. I thought about shooting at max ISO and convert it to B&W but I wanted to colourfulness of the screen.

Again, decisions.... decisions....

Yakim, I like the crop of the second "eye" pic better than the first.

I think you should switch to the "eyes" picture.

The original post is nice, but there is nothing special or creative about it. Nice colors, nice composition, but nothing to make me take a second look.

This forum is all about learning and creative application of photography. Taking pictures that you normally wouldn't take.

It would be great if the reflection were larger or in some way it was easier to tell that it is a "game" screen.

Just my thoughts...

This is a good idea and well executed on most levels. The one thing that "bothers" me quite a bit is the kinking of the card; I think less bend would be good, plus would give you that voyeuristic feeling of peeking at the hand, a little tension. Another improvement would be some chips faintly visible on the other side of the table; a feeling of an "opponent". Still, I like it. One failing is that is doesn't really say games, but I think that will be a failing of almost all the entries; it is very tough to get the plural in there.

As per an overwhelmingly positive response from all, I changed my post. Here is the original pic. To keep making sense of the former responses, the Caption was "The best a man can get" (a paraphrase on Gillette commercials) and the writing was "All in!".
