Cool shot. That would look neat with a yellow brick road. Remind me of the Wizard of Oz shot with the talking trees.

Thanks for all the complements and thoughts on this image everyone. I am glad that it is well received. I went back and cloned out the freeway sign and the power line as I felt, along with others, that it took away from the dark mood of the image.

For those who are curious, this is the image straight out of camera.

What a great photo. Such a dreamy and ominous feeling to it. I struggle with local contrast enhancements when it comes to clouds but you managed it very well. I wonder what the shot would have looked like with the camera closer to the ground with a wider angle and with more of the tree on the left side.

Really enjoyed that shot.
