Thanks Chad, it's my daughter's mini gumball machine rotated 90 degrees. I put the one gumball in as a clue, and to add an interest point.

Nice take on the WA Mark. I wouldn't have guessed what that was were it not for the gumball.

Thanks Shawn. I tried a lot of shutter speeds and lighting to show some motion of the gumball but in the end I liked the "frozen" shot the best.

Hi Kurt,

The colors were not added. There was no PP except for levels adj. The stand of the gumball machine has the muti-colored light in the center of its clear plastic stem. It's a pretty cool little device. When I saw it in my daughter's room it made sense for a subject of this WA. We used the 85L 1.2 lens stopped down to 1.8 and turned the lights off to see what kind of effect could be achieved. I normally don't shoot stuff like this so it is a fun challenge that my daughter and I are going to continue with next week's WA. Thanks for your nice comment.

It's amazing how simply turning an image on its side completely changes the feel of the shot. Loved the addition of the levitating gumball for context (although I confess I missed it until you explained what it was).
