1.4 comes just with the lens and it is a Version 1. I would rate it an EX quality wise. No issues with the lens elements, just a few nicks here and there on the paint.

It was sent to canon a while back and received a new board and something else. I will have to look for the invoice. Nothing was wrong they just updated something inside the lens.
