This was my grandmother's engagement ring. Born 1899; married 1920; died 1982, sadly less than six months before her first great-grandchild was born. I will always remember her as being fiercely independent, living in her own house until just a couple of months before her passing. This ring will go to my daughter, once she is a little better established. I only hope I can pass on the memories as well...
