Nick,

Absolutely fascinating to me. I have never actually never seen a real snowflake structure that has been maginfied by that amount. Nice entry for this weeks topic.

Best Regards,
Kurt

Fantastic, Nick, my friend! I've only seen snow a few times in my life (It near 80 today in LA ) and never at a microscopic level like this. Just beautiful. I guess living in the areas ravaged by "Global Warming" has its perks. Excellent!

Fond regards,

Endre

Thanks Kurt,
I find it to be almost addictive, each time I go out to take pictures the snow is different, and each crystal is a surprise. I haven't taken this many shots in a long time.

Hello Endre,
Thanks for the comments. You know what the say about having lemons and what to do, well that's the same way I feel about snow. I'm ready for some 80 degree weather any time.
Everything I learned about snow flakes and photographing them comes from a fellow Californian, Dr. Ken Libbrecht from Caltech. He travels all over the world photographing snow crystals.

Yes I am, and I agree with you, his work is incredible given the equipment. Ken Libbrecht is no slouch either. He has taken many awesome images and shares his techniques, and is very helpful.
