Dave --- Best wishes for a quick recovery. We know you have a great heart, wonderful imagination, photographic finesse, and the finest sense of humor on the Forum. The first thing I look for when I go to FM are your National Geographic covers.

This most certainly saddens me, I saw the name and had hoped to see some of his incredible work displayed. I shared many PM's with Dave and he has all my respect for his knowledge and willingness to share.
I have just called Dave and left his phone a message, I pray that he will be able to return the call to me.

Steve, thanks for the info. Though I don't come on to FM very much Dave was one of the reasons I do. He's really a cool guy, hopefully he gets better soon.
Thank you Steve for the info. When you don't see a regular FMer anymore you just wonder what happened to him/her. I've noticed his absence for a while and today
I found that he's been ill for a while.

Gee, I've known Dave since the days when DaveinLa, the hotel (Wacky Roger), Mr Zoom, Stardog (Bob Malbon) bobbyz,Trailhiker et al had Panasonic FZ ultrazooms and were regulars over at the DpReview Panasonic forum. Dave was a master with his cameras back then, and was a big inspiration to us all. And when he Went Canon, why, we followed him.... We had quite a few cross-country cellphone chats, and always planned on getting together somewhere, sometime. Shoulda, coulda,woulda...*sigh* You're in my thoughts and prayers, my friend.
I'm sorry to hear about Dave's serious illness. Though I don't know Dave, I think that anyone who has ever visited or lurked in the N&W forum knows the screenname and his talent and sense of humor.
Dave -- I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayer.
I have been on and off on this forum, but I remember Dave. He has shared some encouraging comments on my work and I really appreciated it. It is funny that some people thinks that he lives close to us in SoCal. We then realized that he is the LA state and not the LA city
At anyrate, our thoughts and prayers are with him.
Going to share a little of what I heard about Dave today...........I believe he had bypass surgery and is in a struggle to recover from it with complications.
Lets hope all that beauty he shared finds a way to his heart and soul, Dave I am awaiting your call back buddy
