Welcome to FM. I didn't have a chance to comment before this. I have a few suggestions for future reference.
Shoot with more light on the subject. The leaf patterns are intreicate and could really add interest to this photo if they were seen.
You might try a smaller DOF. The texture of your background is noticeable and it adds a blah factor. If you don't want to change your DOF, you could put more distance between your subject and the bkgd.
One last suggestion is to crop your image so that you straighten the horizon. Unless you want to intentionally draw your viewer's eye away from the subject to another place, an image like this would benefit from a flat horizon where your bkgd meets the table surface.
These are small things, but they will make your images stronger.
