Beautiful. I like this a lot. The separation from the the larger group adds a certain tension.

Nice. Love the DOF. Great find. My brother ate a 'mushroom' when he was six and I was four, arguing that they were safe, but I insisted they were not. To settle the dispute, I ran in and asked my mother if mushrooms were ok to eat. She said yes and then wanted to know why I asked. I replied, "Cuz Larry ate one." She wanted to know where he'd gotten one. I told her, "In the yard." Alas, he'd easten a poisonous toadstool. Chaos ensued. End of story: he survived to pester and argue with me for many long years.

Great image, I also love the DOF. Technically mushrooms are not vegetables rather they are the fleshy, spore-bearing fruiting body of a fungus, but so what, it is still a great image

I like the separation as well, one vs. many.

Doug,

+1 for the vegetable vs fungus topic. Also +1 for it being a very nice shot, love the DOF and the title as well.

Best Regards,

Here I go again...there is no such thing as a vegetable in scientific terms. It's a layman's term. Mushrooms can be veggies if they wanna be...

Nice shot. Great composition and DOF.

Of course they want to be. Why should they be left out shameful in the cold? It's precisely because there is no such thing as a vegetable in scientific terms mushrooms are veggies, though not orthodox ones.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.
