#2 is after "full" conversion and I've toned down the highlights a touch

Nice portrait with excellent sense of character delivered thru your lens.
I prefer the toning in the second.
I'm finding the processing just a tad harsh. I'm not sure how much is sharpening, how much is contrast or losing some of highlights.

Scott, thanks for your input its mainly contrast by adjusting the RGB levels - probably overdone.
