It really is an orange, not just an orange "colored" moon.

Very creative, though I have to agree with Yakim. The amount of post takes a little away from the topic of "fruit". Nice touch on the bottom of the frame.

I know it may not be the best "fruit" picture, but I really wanted to do something creative. I wasn't sure how it would turn out. What is interesting is the comments about the post processing. I actually didn't think that I did very much.

I really appreciate the chance to learn and improve my pictures.

What is it about the image that makes it feel "overdone"?
Is it just the composition or something I did with the post-processing tools?

Hello Eager,

When I said "post", I was referring to the blur of the orange. I thought that was caused by a motion blur filter in PShop, and I believe that Yakim may have thought the same thing.

Seeing the creativity that went into the physical setup, I stand corrected. Good luck in the voting.

This time the motion blur was just caused by the fact that the orange wouldn't stop spinning. I guess I can't blame the orange, it was skewered by a bent paperclip and hanging by a thread from my crudely constructed PVC pipe scaffolding.

Anyway, thanks again for taking the time to comment.

This is a very good variation on an idea I best saw here...

I like how the composition & context can trick the eye into believing it is looking at one thing, yet none of it is as it appears.
