Nice, shame the water wasn't perfectly stil, it would have made a nice reflection.

It was the only sunrise this week unrestricted by clouds, so I was happy it happened at all. In a perfect world...

It is my favorite place for the skyline of Chicago. I often find different features there I have not paid attention to earlier. This time it was the reflected glow on the metal reinforcement on the concrete edge.

So no worry Jason, just go there and take your time there is so much to see at different times.

Yes it is Kent. If you look closely you will see the Ferris wheel at the extreme left. The sunlit buildings on the right are on North Lake Shore Drive and the image is taken from the area just south of North Ave Beach.

Yeah, it starts to get kind of cold here at this time.

Peter, I would rather spend some time in Cape Town, Durban or Joburg this time of the year. Lucky you!

Beautiful morning glow there and great composition. As to the stillness of the water, not sure how light it was, but could you have used an ND filter to lengthen the exposure and flatten the water out? Erik.
