Thanks Chris! Actually, it's an evening shot with the moon early in her voyage across the sky. It's late sunlight and early moonlight.

Beautiful image of the moon. Has it been enhanced? I've never seen it like that before,it almost looks like earth. But then am I right in thinking that you see a different side of the moon to those of us in the northern hemisphere?

I used Photoshop to enhance the slight color casts of the original camera image. Nothing new was added or created in Photoshop.

As I recall, only one side of the moon faces earth. It turns once for each revolution around the earth.

(Reposted for the folks who don't like enhanced interpretations.)

Hey Yakim, the topic wasn't "Early Daylight". This one is early moonlight - early in the moon's trip across the night. The moon had not long popped over the horizon. Besides, who want to get up at O'dark-thirty? If there was ever a time for a topic loophole....
