Sorry, but the mirror thing doesn't really work for me. IMHO it would more captivating to do a vertical crop of half the image. Others may have different opinions.

Cheers,
Rich

cool image, but photoshop makes it look fake. Photoshop did that, not nature.

Ditto the above comments. I would also like to see a vertical crop, or just the whole picture: it just doesn't look right the way it is.

Cheers

Remove the mirror PP and you'd have a great shot. As is it, it's just a novelty shot.

I like the horizontal posture but not the mirroring.

Happy shooting,
Yakim.

Hi WB,

You have captured a beautiful sunset, but I have to agree with everyone else the forced symmetry ruins it for me.

Best wishes,

Steve

OK I'm a bit of a devil's advocate so I'll say, that what made open the image was the unique factor. Yes it's obviously a mirror image but that is what makes it worth stopping for a second look. Actually it's a rather average to good sunset in my opinion of course. So the challenge for any art-viewer is to look beyond technique to the statement of the artist.
I think you planned the whole center uprising motiff, and so it's not just any mirror image. It's kind of cathedral like. You could use it for a basis of a whole wilder piece and not stop at the mirror effect. Mostly I shot representational stuff myself but that is only one slice of a big and getting bigger pie.
Technically maybe it is lens vignetting? causing a shadow line down the middle, brighten that a bit.

Congrats on being different.

Hi All
The purpose of using the mirror technique was to create a image simmiliar to a face, mountain, or something different. I have used this method to create a face in the sky.

Thank you
