I really like the random patterns of ice that forms on things during a morning frost. What drew me in to this shot was the frost on the blades of grass and the leaf, and the patterns on the back of the leaf. I think I hit the goal of patterns in nature, but welcome any comments to help me see if I may or may not have conveyed this week's theme.

I stumbled around our back yard a few days ago trying to get my own frost picture. All I got was dirty jeans. Your capture is really cool--far better than anything I might have got. Well done.

Thanks Rich, funny thing was yesterday I went out and couldn't come up with anything. This morning I went out to grab the morning newspaper and was standing there admiring the morning frost and then it hit me. I quickly went back into the house and grabbed my camera before the sun melted it all. Thanks for the compliment.

I hope you don't think I copied your idea for my entry, I honestly did not look at any current entries before shooting mine. But it is somewhat weird we both shot a kind of tree with frost on it, and weirder yet that both compositions seem quite similar...

Anyhow, I like yours and wish you luck!

I didn't think you copied at all. Your capture is as you said one of a tree. Mine is of a fallen leaf in the grass. I really like your capture as well. Good luck to you also. You know what the say "Great Minds"
