Hey guys. I have a wedding coming up this Saturday. And the prewedding shots are going to take place at a US Air Base!!!! I'm nervous and excited since I have never even been close to a millitary plane.
I'm here for some advices. Does anyone have any pictures of bride and groom with a PLANE? and any creative ideas are greatly appreciated!!
Gotcha, if he's a pilot make sure he's in his plane. Tell him to bring both jumpsuit and other clothes, if the fiance is good looking I think you won't have any problem.
We did an engagement session on an air force base a while back. They pointed guns at us the whole time. Otherwise it was great. Ended up taking some illegal photos of the cockpit of a plane too. Good times.

I don't post photos on forums out of sheer embarrassment. Suffice it to say that if you've got a guy, and a girl, and some love, and a plane you'll know what to do. Get in the plane, under it, use it as a background, etc - you've got the skills.
Spencer Boerup did a airplane e-sesh earlier this year, but that was a commercial jet. You're going to have to dig to find it, but that was my favorite set from him.

Yeah, I was trying to find that post. Unfortunately I couldn't be able to find it Maybe I'll try to dig deeper :P
It has been a while since i flew out of Dover. I don't remember any fighters ... maybe a couple of alert birds - maybe F-16's. but it would be tough to get around unless your client is a pilot/maintenance in the corresponding unit.
Also ... if going to the base around sunset and get on flight line - a little off camera flash work w/ airport lights can really rock.
Ziffl3 - unfortunately we will be shooting in the morning around 9 =\ So i guess no sunset pictures. I think that idea would rock though. Thanks again.
ksmahgrts - Man, only if I could find that post :P
Grab your widest, sharpest lens, and a medium tele IMO.
Back light the plane with the couple kissing near it for one idea (assuming you do off cam lighting of course). Another would be to have them on the wing with her kissing him in the cockpit. If its getting dark as you shoot, you could put your off cam light in the cockpit with them and have it make them well lit with everything else a couple stops under.
Tele shots from the rear of the plane and front with the couple half way between.
