on our second day, Ed and I headed to this wonderfull windmill on top of the south downs. many of you will have seen lots of shots from here before, but hopefully this and a next post will show a slightly different feel.
the winds where still blustery on the day, though the sun was most welcomed.
this image was taken with the 24-105 and BW 10 stop filter.
hopefully just enough movement but not too much.
Beautifull done, Simon. I guess I'll need to add one of those 10 stoppers to my Christmas list. Really adds a terrific mood to this shot. We certainly got some beautiful clouds up there.
By the way, I definitely prefer the first. The second is not one of your better efforts.
I am going to attempt to post an image shortly. Not certain I will be able. Having trouble connecting to my server from where I am. I think they have the ftp port closed down.
Cheers,
Ed

Your decision to go with a 10 stop filter on the first one, really gave the sense of the elements (wind) in the picture making it special. A creative approach. I really like it.
I love the windmill, and the moving clouds. I think it could only be better if the windmill was working and there was some movement of the sails. But the clouds sure illustrate why there is a windmill there...
