ok, so my friend is now ready for his trip away to the himalyas.
of note with this lens (18-35 3.5-4.5ED), there seems to be no full manual focus? he can focus using auto, then override whilst the shutter button is half pressed, but no TRUE manual focus.
is this the nature of the beast or is there a setting in the camera somewhere to allow it to happen?
