B&W Plus Color (Test)

One of my clients the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railroad started using some of my Black & White with a little bit of color photos in their marketing. Here is an example of one that has been used in a couple of magazines.

I decided I would try the same effect with some of my wildlife shots.

I don't expect I will be doing any more of these cuz on a scale of 1 to 10 I give them a 1.5

I did this on one of my images of a Coopers Hawk where only the eye was in color...I liked how it looked. I'm not sure about the head or a single bird being in color...just being honest.

I do like the first image.

Thanks for your opinion Duane, like I said I don't like them but it was fun to try it. Maybe just the eye like you did would work.

I think it's a fantastic touch for the train Roger, but not on the birds.

for the trail shot it looks great.

I have to agree with you on using it like this with bird - not a high rating.

But I do give you credit for taking a stab at it. Kudos for pushing the envelop

Mark, you and I are on the same page. Train is OK but the birds IMHO are a No No.

The only reason I gave the birds any rating other than ZERO is cuz it was a new idea for me.

I think the biggest failure of the bunch is what you done to poor harriet. That's just not right
