Actually, No, it works quite well. Apple dropped DRM from its iTunes store about a year ago. They sell royalty free music and it is a snap to import them into ProShow.
Good to know. I mostly have been using Sony Vegas this year and it won't recognice many of the songs I've downloaded into iTunes in the past. I've been using a program called "Tunebite" to convert my files to mp3's.
Another option is www.animoto.com. I haven't used it myself but I have a person doing slideshows for our football team & he uses it. Here's one he did recently.
It's not the same quality as the others mention but from what I can tell, it seems to be a lot faster. There is also an option of having a disk made.

I went home and checked this and the .m4a format from iTunes (the new format) does work without reformatting to mp3. I never tried it. What doesn't work, still, is the .m4p files, which are the older files.
