love the differences between sky and sand. on one hand bright bold colour, followed by a more muted subtle colour of the sand. somehow work as a unified image.

Lovely photo Huge. Like the softness and colors. VEry nice.
Jim
Thanks Jim, the surroundings were a bit harsh in direct sun, but as the sun set and the light softened, the entire scene seemed to relax into a dream-like look. Glad you enjoyed the result.
Very nice, simple composition and a wash of color. Something about that narrow band of ocean just makes it sing, good eye w/the low angle compressed perspective!

I like the simple boldness here Hugh. The color intensity in the sky doesn't match the water, you could balance the two out if you agree with me. If not still works fine to me.
Hello Steve, thanks for commenting and for the suggestion. I'm pleased with it as is, and particularly after seeing the print. Now if it just holds up on canvas . Glad you enjoyed it too.

Another excellent work, Hugh. Subtle, elegant and delicate.
Javier
Hello Javier, as you have probably noticed, I have a thing for sea oats. They lend a touch of grace to the beach environment. I'm always pleased when I can show them in a good light - pardon the pun . Glad you enjoyed this attempt.

Very well done. Excellent colors & texture. If it were mine, I'd have it printed and framed.
Randy
Hello Randy, thanks for commenting and for the compliments The Super-B print on Exhibition Fiber looks pretty good, and the image is short listed for a larger version on canvas. I guess great minds to think alike
Hello Bob, thank you for the very kind compliment. I was surprised and pleased at how the conditions finally resolved to intense and very smooth color. Glad you enjoyed it too.

Artful palette of colors here. Quite a lovely gradient indeed.
Thanks Tim, the high humidity in front of the approaching storm did a good job of smoothing and modulating the late color. Glad you enjoyed the result.

Thanks Simon, The relatively bright, white sand did a good job of reflecting a muted sense of the late color. Glad you enjoyed the effect

What is the f/64 group?
- Heinz
Hello Heinz, thanks for the kind comment. As I mentioned in the PM, the Group f.64 was Ansel and several of his contemporaries who envisioned the camera as an artistic tool. So do I . Glad you enjoyed this one.

Hello Ken, thanks for the kind compliments. This was our first time at this location, so the composition was kind a random happening. Glad you enjoyed it
