I see. Got a skyport transmitter with me right now. Theres a light bulb with the + and - buttons which im guessing is used to change the power. Sweet Alex! Thanks for the heads up.
Yep + and - change the power, if you hold the one with the light bulb you get the modeling light. I love it!
I bought NOTHING because the sales guy seemed more interested in his buddies then actually helping me. Apparently Vistek's smallest head weighs more and costs more than the tripod I was looking at. Hmm....179$ head, 129$ tripod legs...
I have some Profoto stuff that's great, but would never use it for wedding/esesh/location work as mine lacks battery power, is heavy and cumbersome etc... I use a pair of Quantum Qflashes for location work, but if I were starting over I would get a pair of these Norman 400BR's... 400ws, very portable, great affordable modifiers available, and Pocketwizard receivers built in. Just perfect for location or wedding stuff...
Got the profoto acuteB 600R. It's nice and kind of light and fits inside any backpack. The elinchrom looked a little flimsy especially the plastic head so went with the all metal acuteB head. It is worth every penny. 600ws is overkill though

Plus the zoomable reflectors are money. They are great for adjusting the light and for protecting the flash bulb (along with the glass cap that comes with the acute heads)
Did you get the profoto $1000 in free accessories? did you use that for the head or are you going to get some other stuff?
Yeah! The zoomable reflectors make the whole thing huge and bulky but they definitely do the job.
In Canada we don't have the coupon for the $1000 in free accessories. I think Profoto retailers in Canada give you a free acuteB head with the 600/600R. Got a 3 foot octabox with free Profoto speed ring as well, prices came pretty close to Chimera + Chimera speed ring.
I cannot say enough good stuff about my Ranger Speed AS, I liked it so much I bought a second for a spare. Heavyish, yeah. Consistency is awesome, within 1 tenth every pop. I use mine with pocket wizards, skyports sound great, but I already had the PW's (a bunch of them).
