Got a call from the University's AD the other day. They needed some T&I for the squash team, yawn. Fortunately he let me have some creative control over the shoot. A few downfalls with this one though.
1 - no assistant, everyone was super busy today
2 - very, very, very little time
3 - very uncooperative coach
Anyways, here is what I cam up with in the 30 minutes I had to set up/shoot/teardown all on my own. C+C is more than welcome.
These are awsome - the only thing that is bothering me is the nose shadow on the face of the 3rd from the right in the first pic. Other than that - great use of light and shadows!!
I would have liked a little more ambient on the first one so that you knew for sure they were on the court and had a little more hint of their surroundings.
Okay Rick, now these are awesome. Is that a fish or just a real wide lens? Regardless, very cool use of the flash, and damn, I have new respect for squash photography. Well done.

Boy I haven't played squash in 20 years - great sport however.
And personally I think these shots rock, especially for the time you had. Nitpicks of some shadowing on the group, but within time constraints, you did well.
