I only set the WB, exposure, and sometimes the lens aberration correction (e.g., peripheral illumination) in DPP and convert to 16-bit TIFF files. Everything else is done (better) in PS. Mostly I use NI in PS, and create masks for problem areas as needed.

Yes, you can upgrade DPP indefinitely.

Thanks EBH! I changed the OS drop down tab to OSX and there were a ton of updates. I assume these are upgrade DMG files and I will need to have the software installed from my disk first?
misternikko, all you have to do is to visit Canon's sites all over the world(ex:www.canon-europe.com) and you can download the latest version of DPP which has so many "goodies"!!!

I don't use the Apples, but on the PC some Canon software is required to be previously installed. People sometimes install the DPP 1.0 first just to qualify. Since you have the original disks, install the old version first and the upgrade should be fine.
