This scene just caught my eye early this week while shooting at Whatcom Falls Park in Bellingham, WA. I thought the Seagull separated the abstractness of the image somewhat.
The gull looks quite blue to me and perhaps too small. It's also a little too centered for my taste. I agree with poster mlenny above that the picture would probably stand on its own without the gull.
