Definatly gets better when you have real light to shoot with Kirk That Curlew shot is plain awesome, buddy! Also liked that 2nd Peli-Ken shot, as you knew I would
Ah, it makes me realize once again that BC is still photograph-able even in the foggy mornings, which it was when I drove by on Monday then high-tailed it to a Golden Glow SJWS. The light on the Curlew is stunning and my favorite, but all excellent work, Kirk.
excellent series kirk. good job with the mud crawling on the dowitcher and sanderling shots. i really like the grey color tones. the fog and grey color tones works great to isolate the subjects.

When I saw the foggy surroundings as I was driving in to work in the morning, I was thinking that I wouldn't be missing much by having to go in to work. From the look of your post here ............. Boy, was I wrong!
Those Sandpiper shots are outstanding. Love the low angle and the color rendition. and speaking of colors ................ the Curlew in golden light was also outstanding.
You're making me very resentful of the fact that I'm stuck going in to work, and that I also will not get a chance to shoot this weekend because of other committments.

Looks like a progression from low light to nice light to me Even though you knew some of these wouldn't have any real 'snap' to them it shows that you took your time and worked on angle and comps. Fine use of what light there was Kirk I liked the first six as a series, nice job on all of them.
I like #8 most, very appealing to me, tonal range and pose and separation and reflection. Pelis are cool, and the light of the last one is pleasingly warm though the angle is a bit awkward for me
Fantastic work Kirk! I love fog shots and these are spectacular As you can see from the comments they aren't for everybody but I just love them. Good on you for getting out there and shooting on a day that isn't "perfect". That said the curlew is pretty spectacular!
