The last few from the trip last weekend. These more to give an idea of the structure of the top end of Lost Valley. There's a tall rock bluff that provides reflected light into the valley floor when the sun is low in the west.
1) By necessity a blend of 2 images, manually this time using lum. masks.
2) Also a blend, but much easier to get decent.
3) What the reflected light provides when the sun is low in the west.

Not sure if these do justice, but hopefully you'll get the idea.

I like the second and third. Barry. I love the dead tree in the midst of the gorgeous colors in the third.

#3 jumps out of the set for my tastes - I like the colors, the comp, and the exposure in that one a lot.

Looks like you guys had a great time exploring and shooting this area another great set here really like the scale presented in #1 and the great fall colors in #3. Looks from the image you had a little vertical getting down to your sweet spot in #5, Nice work here Barry

That looks like a really cool place! I definately hope that you get back there on a regular basis. #3 is pretty nice. In that last one by your friend, it has a look of interrupted solitude...

Thanks everyone. Much obliged.
That valley floor was down right suffused with colorful light that day. I was lucky to go when the color was good.
That is a very small down climb for that falls, Ray, just enough, especially from Lee's pov, to give quite a 'hole' look.

Jim, it is definitely on the 'return to' list. If you come east again, we'll go!

barry, that soft light in #3 is quite lovely, gives it a nice painterly look!

Incredibly difficult light in the first two Barry. You did hit a homer on #3. I do recognize the ball cap in the last shot. Where are your shorts?
