for those coming cold wet weekends when shooting outside is no one's idea of fun.
Anyway, the urge sometimes strikes me--a lot of us, apparently--to shoot something other than critters so I took a few shots of a Dremel toolbit on a CD. Double duty, if you will, as I needed to get a look at the lighting after mounting a set of Puffers on some cut-down Stofens. Can't let John get TOO far ahead. These are a few that I liked. Hope you enjoy them.
All handheld using a Nikon D300(F16, 1/250, ISO200), Nikkor 105mm w/52.5mm extension (~1.9X), 'Puffered' R1C1 flash.
Lovely series Kenny - fascinated by the texture/pattern showing on the bit- assume that's from the original machining rather than some crystalline structure.

@Dalantech--there were no blown highlights in the camera files...my PP is to blame for those. Just didn't seem bright enough to me so I jacked up the exposure...too much.
@Brian--yeah, that's the way it came outa the box except for the burnt edges. I'm to blame for those.
