The 5D is a sweet camera.
The reason dust is "more" of a problem with that camera than like a 30D or something is simple physics. There's more sensor space to collect dust.
That said, I have done a wet cleaned my sensor a few times, and I did it to see if I could do a better job than Canon.
I blow out the camera all of the time now, but I try not to change lenses (my 5D basically has the 70-200 2.8IS living on it. I want to get a 135L to put on it, and it will pretty much live there forever).
Dust isn't really so much of a problem on the sensor. It's the viewfinder that's a pain in the butt, but you get used to it quick. The files from the 5D are sexy.
I recently sold my 40D. I intended on keeping my 5d, 7d, and 40d. However the 7d was so much better that I sold the 40D. I'll probably look at another 5D for down the line.
The 5D is a stud.
