17-40 f/4L
I need a better macro than the 100mm pentax with the EOS adapter, manual stop-down, and uber dimness....

this is my first ring shot to make it to FM

The close up shots in my post were both taken with the 100 f/2.8 macro. The wide one was taken with a 17-40 f/4L.

Thanks for sharing Richard, I am regularly surprised what a good job the 17-40 does for "macro" work... that said, when I use the 100mm manual I can see why I want a "real" macro lens.... after I buy a few fast primes

Both from my last wedding. The first one is of the bride's wedding ring and the "sisterhood pendants" she had made for her bridesmaids.

...Both taken with Rebel and EF-S 60mm f/2.8 (macro).

Hope folks don't mind the "unartsy" context in this one? The newly engaged Heather asked for a photo to send to her mom, who lives out of town...this was not part of an engagement shoot...yet...
