Decided to enter this month

2nd time entering the assignments here.

Simple lighting for this, Vivitar 283 outside of large window with miniblinds triggered by pocketwizards.

The intensity is well-captured. Good exposure with the eye in a shadow.

My main critique is that I find the regular pattern of the blinds a little distracting. It reminded me of prison stripes, war paint, etc. I found that I was making a list of similar patterns in my head instead of focusing on the face and the intensity.

Glad to see you posting on the WA.

I had a stripe coming onto my hair, but it was too distracting.

Wow, I'm glad you decided to enter this month (or actually perhaps not, you've set a high standard for the rest of us).

Personally I like the pattern of light. The B&W treatment works very well. Nicely done.

Personally, I like the light. I had thought it reminded me a prisoner peering out through bars, longing to be free. Nice job!
