Been here since 2005, and I consider myself a lurking newbie. I am strictly a hobbyist, but do a few paying gigs.
I used to post and comment on here but stopped for many reasons.
1: Back in the day, this place was full of hero worship. Not a hero? then dont bother.
2: Comments like..Snapshot, dont waist our time. I am sure to the guy who posted, it wasnt a snapshot.
People would hammer folks if the image was too large (or too small). Many of the shooters whos work I admired and followed left because of this. (who was the guy who had a daughter named "Seven". His family stuff was stunning)
3: Too much critisism, little advice.
Today,life is a zoo, and I have less time to shoot, but just the other day I did a bunch of stuff in my house for friends of the wife who wanted some calendar shots. Not the first time I have done it, but they were horrible. Would love to have fealt I could post and get some genuine advice.
Anyway Steady, good thread, and your comments always seem balanced.
