I actually bought this lens a few weeks back at a garage sale with an Olympus OM mount, and I've used in on my 5D2.
First impressions are you want to avoid shooting wide open at 4.5 (hazy images), but you stop down to F8, and this lens can be pretty stinking sharp for simple closeups. Lens is prone a to flare and CA, but used as a closeup at F8 in less challenging lighting, this lens can be quite good.
I thought I'd put this lens to use quickly after I saw your post. This shot was taken at F8 at 200mm:
This is the same shot wide open at 4.5
So don't expect to use this at 4.5 unless you want reallllly dreamy images.
