This is my first submission in over a year. I picked a good week -- I found this week's topic especially challenging. This recently abandoned and once-beautiful boarded up old house is deep in the woods in the Adirondacks of northern New York. It's a hard place to make a living in the best of times, and these days it's even harder.

Lovely light in this shot, which is an interesting contrast the the abandoned house. Almost looks too pretty to be left behind.

Thanks for the comments. I wish I could say it was planned, but it was merely a happy accident of being forced to shoot directly into the sun.
