There a ton of choices for this combo. Can any one please recommend a good chipped one?

Hi Jim,

From reading around here it seems that Nikon to EOS adapters can be finicky. Many people like the pro adapters from happypagehk and they are chipped. Kindai and Cameraquest are probably the best adapters and they cost accordingly, but you would have to add a chip later yourself--this isn't very hard at all though. Just a step down from these are the elephoto and Novoflex pro adapters--which appear quite similar to the happypagehk pro adapters. The elephoto and Novoflex Pro don't usually come chipped. Beyond these most other adapters are probably made in China and sold to all kinds of companies. They may work, but they seem to have more slop in the tolerances. I hope this helps.

Thanks, Steve. I had also remembered reading that they were iffy, but I could not find any threads in a topic search. I had sent an e-mail to Happypage (have been pleased with their work before) but had not heard back.

I found one from Shiamo123 that used the same Optix5 chip as Happypage, but I am more worried about a snug fit to the camera and lens and infinity focus. Hopefully, it will work fine. If not, I'll just go with the pricier versions. [I almost bought a fotdoix just based on shipping time alone...dying to try my new lens: Nikon 35/1.4 9 blade aperture version.]

Hi Jim,

Please let me know how it works. I am looking to buy that same lens--or at least it is what I am asking to get for Christmas

--and I was thinking of going the happypagehk route as well.
