I don't know if this is old news or not but I've just received an email from Vistek saying that the 7D is now available. Their website shows it as being in stock too but only in their Toronto area stores.

Dang! I pre-ordered with Amazon on the day it was announced and I have yet to receive any confirmation that it would ship anytime soon

I can't wait to see the results from this new camera. I'm really hoping this is a viable option for me.

Someone that shoots sports, but main bread and butter isn't sports. This camera could very well be a god send for me. A great amount of MP for more than any enlargements I'll need, a good high ISO performance. Good frame rate, good AF. I could give a shit about weather sealing. I don't shoot in those conditions.

It could be a "baby" 1 series for me, and then the 5D2 a main camera. I mean seriously, that'd be a great option for me. I hope to see results soon.

Calgary Vistek had the 7D on the counter when I was there looking at at something else tonight. When I asked how it held up in low light they said they just got it in today so have had no chance to try it out yet.

Like Nike says, "JUST DO IT". You know you want it, you know you NEED it. Or, you could wait, buy the Mark IV for much more, decide it's too much, and then sell it to me for cheap. Yeah, that would work too.

If you called my house, and said "rob order the 7D" I'd probably do it. If you want to make that a 100% chance of success, call my house and say that it's on "sale" and I'll save so much buying now.

I am sure it will be well built...and not.
I am sure it will feel great in the hand...and not.

I am sure it will have banding...and not.
I am sure it will have great AF...and not.

And the cool thing is....it will do all of those things (and not) at the same time.
