Maybe the f/ratio is more like 1.2 but the transmission is so low that they chose to market it as a f/1.4? Is that a likely hypothesis? (Just speculating here)
if that's the case then you'd still get bokeh like a 1.2

I think it is unlikely, if the f-ratio is f1.2, I am sure the marketing will jump on it. Do you think they will hide the fact just so to keep the other camps happy?
I would rather they make a strong f1.4 over a weak 1.2. Waiting for this one...
The styling seems to not have been a priority in the design, as was the English press release. What's that strange copper colored ring?
Lets hope the optical quality was on top of the priority list.
