I have a Lenmar purchased from Amazon earlier this year and my best so far on a 1DII was about 2500 shots with 2 second review on and moderate chimping. My original Canon battery doesn't hold a candle to it.

I recharge my batteries when they drop one segment. So far this is about at 1000 shots regardless of brand, Canon, Lenmar, BlackWatch.
From what I understand, this is a mistake as these batteries have a memory effect. If true, you are only getting 50% of what you should from the battery.

So far I have not noticed any impact. But I also use the conditioner function in the battery charger every few charges. The conditioner drains that battery to remove any potential false base level.

curious: are the Lenmar batteries for 1 series cameras weather sealed? or at least compatible with the rest of the camera's sealing?
They have gaskets on their end caps that seal. However,IMHO, the Canon end caps seal better. So I took the end caps off my old Canon batteries and put them on my Lenmar and BW batteries.
