p.1 #1 · p.1 #1 · HELP ... what's going on here ??

Need some help determining what the problem is with these shots ...

Shots are afternoon, overcast sky, sun behind me. I shot a 'series' of these at each aperture from 2.8 - 22 and the problem is more diffuse wide open & more distinct with each stop down.

No filters ... shade extended or retracted = same result.

Could this be a light leak from my adapter?

I'd bet light leaks from the adapter. See if you can find a Mamiya bodycap and test with that on the adapter.

I have arax nikon-p6 adapter and get similar defects with biometar 80mm, but not with 180 sonnar or 50mm flektogon. i'm leaning towards suspecting adapter..

i get those defects rarely

Good idea ... will find a substitute for the bodycap since I don't have one ... maybe just a lens cap on the lens.
