Too many things to choose from and too many done already.

Not settled on this concept, by no means is it the finished article, but I was wondering how many people would get it- particularly across the pond as I have a sneaky suspicion that it might be a British thing.

So if you could let me know, either way.............!

In the interim I am going to work on it a bit more, better angles, lighting & other ways of getting my vengence and destroying this disgusting stuff.

Would love to capture the moment a hammer hits it and it explodes but I only have one jar of this....

And have a think as to what else I could do if everyone replies with "I don't get it"....just in case.

Ok, I'll be the first to admit that I don't get it. I am curious though as I don't use Yeast Extract in any recipe that I have ever made. Yeast, yes, but not the extract.

So?

lol, thanks for being the first to have the guts to admit it.

It seems it's definately a British thing........ although apparently it does get exported to the States. Seems that a lot of you are luckily enough not to have found it though (IMHO).

Anyway to answer your question:

It's a weird tasting spread, most people put it on toast, although I have seen some rather bizarre uses for it. The point is, the advertising slogan is , "you either love it or hate it" (and it's put well into practice with TV ads of people shown loving it or hating it).

Strangely enough about 50% of the population love it, the rest hate it. So there you have it, an opposite opinion/ taste.

Best avoid if you see it around, but then I'd guarantee someone in your family would like it.

This jar is going to my other half after I have finished with it. Although she can sleep on the sofa if she has any of this before going to bed.

I'm back off to the drawing board..... but might swop that fork for a knife in the interim....

The knife was defiantly the way to go Andy. Tightens up the meaning a bit for me. Very well shot BTW!

Can't say that I'd ever try that stuff, but your photo makes the point.

I know about Marmite and just happen to like it (having lived in England for a while). It's the Aussie equivalent, Vegemite, that I find quite disgusting.

Nice idea by the way and well taken.

Not getting this emoticon thing right, should not have been javascript:void(0); but (I hope!) BTW I hate the stuff.

Dave, Mike, Shakeyeras, Norm, Bill,

thanks for the compliments, you're all too kind

You know what, I think I'll stick with it. Might still play with the lighting but I'll definately stick with the theme.

I'm even tempted to do a porfolio...maybe start something on facebook. Who knows, it could be the next extreme ironing craze... well I can dream!

Cheers

Andy

Hi Andy,

For those who know Marmite this shot makes a lot of sense. I think you did a terrific job with it.

Thanks for the compliment Steve, as long as it makes sense to some, I'm happy

Cheers
