Great subject and composition! (I do wish there was a bit more brightness and tonal contrast to help everything pop even more.. seems a tad dark here?).
Great first submission MP. Real nice comp. I agree with Bev to a degree, feels a tad muted. If you can bring it out a little without loosing the atmosphere (the feel) go for it.

I think it's perfect ... I love the slightly darker feel to the cheery subject. Wonderful lighting and really great composition/perspective on an oft-photographed subject. You make it original.
