We, who have lived in peace and comfort in the US have lost sight that the default for most of the world, throughout most of history, has been war, strife, chaos, oppression, and brutality. That is, sadly, the human default position. If people could only recognize that the long-term peace this country has enjoyed is a very anomalous period of history, they might appreciate it more and strive to do what it takes to foster and defend it more. Thanks bud. What is peace exactly anyway? That's what this assignment made me think about, and even more perplexing how the heck do you take a picture of it!!
Further I want to know who submitted this most elusive and difficult 'peace' assignment and where is their picture, huh? Whoever it was better have posted a pic, or else.  (just kidding)
