This isn't scary to everyone, but it sure made my daughter scream--she absolutely hates spiders. I thought it might make a good subject for this week's assignment>

I like the shot Steve no doubt It feels a bit Nat-Geo but I doubt he would had stayed posed so well while you set up some creepy lighting.

As a person who was bitten by a brown recluse, I can assure you the mere thought of spiders is scary to me. Seeing a photo makes me anxious. PTSD for sure. (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). Oddly enough you never see the brown recluse or feel it; the poison starts working a few days later. My bite was misdiagnosed by one doctor, so it was 2 weeks before I went to an ER for a 2nd opinion. They treated me with medicine they use for leprosy. I was lucky, barely a scar on my arm now. Anyway, nice shot.

Scary to me, I hate spiders. Afraid of nothing else in life really, so, yeah, scary.

Thanks Mike. It is a little Nat-Geo, but still scary to those who hate the beasties. I wish I could have lit it better, but it was in an awkward little crevice, so I shot it with available light. It actually took an 8 second exposure, so I was happy that it stayed so still. I always appreciate your comments. Thanks for taking the time.

Thanks for the story. That must have been a harrowing experience. It is good to know the image could have an impact even though I have to admit I am sorry to provoke this particular memory for you.

I find fear of spiders pretty interesting. My daughter to is quite afraid and it is the second most commonly feared object (snakes are number 1). I am glad you liked the shot.

I got bit by some sort of menacing spider as a child, in my grandparents chicken house, I had a knot the size of a baseball on my back for weeks, and a lumpy scar for about 20 years...I don't panic or have serious anxiety when I see spiders, but I have a healthy fear of them, and don't let them live...mean as that may be.

Nice spider shot! To me spiders are a strange contradiction. I enjoy looking at them, they can have interesting and beautiful patterns on them. But, having one on me freaks me out!

Thanks for the kind words. I am glad you liked the shot. I actually mostly find spiders beautiful, but my daughter is so freaked out by them that they don't last long around our house.
