Just shot this game tonight with little action but with changing light condition from sunny to cloudy and many shadows. Here's some shots from the game. C&C welcome.

Thanks in advance

Frank,

Nice shots and exposure.

Is #6 & 7 the second coming of Mark "The Bird" Frdrych?

Wondering if he caught that ball in #1, doesn't look like he's gonna get that glove open in time. Beautiful shots as always, nice job Frank.

Very nice, Frank!

I'd love to see a tight, horizontal crop of #1 - waist up, face, glove, ball, similar to the way you cropped #2.

Frank

Excellent sharpness and "pop" as always. #2, 3 and 4 are essentially the same and no ball?

Thanks everyone for your comments.

Fish - I was thinking the same when I saw this kid.

Joe - Right on.....he missed it and it got into the mix of he and the runner.

Dennis - When I get a minute I'll try that crop.

Hany - Appreciate the kind words. ANd back at ya....checked your site and cycling shots and they are sweet.

Ted - #3 was the only action game shot...he was fielding a bunt. The other 2 were between inning warmups.

Thanks again

Thanks Butch...

Bk. Mtn. came from behind and won. I was really impressed with how well coached they were. The entire game the coach just kept using positive re-inforcement and never once yelled at anyone. The coach talked to them like they were adults and explained the rationale for whatever they were doing and it showed because they bought in and responded. Having spent many years in LL as a league Pres.and having to remove coaches for their overly aggrressive behavior, this was a pleasure to see and hear.

Sorry to go off but sometimes coaches don't get recognized for the good things that people don't see or hear going on behind the scenes.

I know exactly what you mean .... but sadly ... it is not just coaches that get out of line ... at my grandson's game a couple of weeks ago they were in the loser's bracket final ... were playing in their seventh game in 9 days ... late in the game because of pitching restrictions, they had many players playing out of their normal positions for necessity's sake ... the young fellow that was at first base was there for the first time ever ... a bad throw on a play and the ball went sailing giving the base runners extra bases ... his father immediately approached the fence and verbally berated his son for the error ... IMO ... it wasn't his son's error but that of the shortstop ... I had a rather serious private discussion with the father following the incident.

In my mind ... when you have kids in the 9-12 age bracket winning is the least important factor in the process ... yes, of course, win if you can ... but the focus should be on learning the fundamentals and basic strategies of the game ... after the game, win or lose, did the kids learn something to make them better players (and better citizens) than they were yesterday? and more importantly ... do they feel good enough about the process to want to come back tomorrow and try again? .... after that ... any other rewards are a bonus.
