1. These are not Hieroglyphics. These are cuneiform script.
2. It is a very nice pic. Pattern is changing yet remain within strict boundaries.
3. I also like the lighting, crossing the frame diagonally.

I like the patterns, which are complex and intriguing. I like the lighting even more. Very nice shot.
