You are right .... the kitty whiskers were over-exposed! So sue me.

I hope you don't mind.
(Kidding, just kidding )
Either way, the kitty is lovely, posed beautifully, framed very well and focus has been established securely on her eyes.
Only a couple of nits.......on my trusty monitor the white hair on the kitty seems overexposed and colours appear oversaturated and slightly shifted in hue, judging by the pinks. Then again, I am half colour blind, so you shouldn't listen to me anyways.

I have seen them - they are stunning! Just post 3 or 4 of them for the sake of those who have not seen them and/or don't believe that the 85L can do BIF because of its "painfully slow" AF. This thread deserves some really nice pictures, as I am sure there are a lot of Nikonians looking, and many claim that the Nikkor 85/1.4 is just as good as the 85L.

Then you'd just have to wait until I get some new ones.
Will not be long.

Appreciate that very much, Bobby, just that I don't like those as much any more .....one should be able to do a bit better.......and soon we hopefully will.
Instead, have some fresh material with the 85L: Late evening on Lake Ontario.

Sorry Peter, but this is not my idea of showing off the 85L. No offense meant but the 50/1.8 lens could have taken this shot!

No, it couldn't have, although on a web size post anything goes.
There are only two lenses close in FL that when stopped down could emulate that look: 50 f/1.2 and 50 f/1.0.
The 85 f/1.8 and 60 f/2.8 and 50 f/1.4 (only when stopped down) are sharp enough but have no overall IQ to match the 85L.
Bobby, understand that with all those lenses I don't have an ax to grind......I've had them all, and I haven't designed any of them

I really love the color, the exposure and the framing composition of this shot.
Look at the 3D perspective; great example of the 85L 1.2 should be taken.
