Frankly, I thought of that, then decided that the cat's face just shows perfectly the way it is. If you showed more of her eyes, you would have lost some of her mouth area. Also, a paw or anything like that protruding thru the basket opening would take away from the nice and flat simplicity of the image. Trust me, I wouldn't lead you astray, it works like a charm just the way it is.

Got my 85L last year and paired it with my 40D. Somehow wasn't too fond of the FOV on the 40D.
Replaced the 40D with the 5Dmk1 and the combo is pure magic.
Few from my first outing with it, surely not the easiest lens to work with wide open.

Chuck, I like that into-the-sun portrait. However, I really have to close my mind's eye to the strong white halo which outlines the boy. Perhaps you can have him wear a light coloured outfit next time around.
